Eanes' Wiki Works

How can I use a wiki in my classes, this fall? I am thinking about the possibility of students conversing about problem-solving strategies, specific questions they find challenging, while they are completing homework assignments. I would want to set up some expected norms, such as a rule which requires contributors to discuss successful STRATEGIES, rather than ANSWERS.

Also, I can answer questions they have, in the evenings, which will enable others with the same/similar questions to view our discussion. In the past, I have emailed individuals, but that did nothing to help those who didn't email me. Using a wiki has the potential to answer "Frequently-Asked Questions," en mass.
